Why does padding matter?

Rebond carpet padding is among one of the cheapest forms available and is made from recycled foam. If you choose the right density, rebound carpet padding is often the best way to go. 

From the foam family, frothed foam would be the best choice. This type of padding is incredibly durable with far more density than other types of foam. Its so resilient it will likely outlast the carpet itself. 

Memory foam is similar to frothed foam but has been infused with gel, which gives it the feel memory foam is famous for. This makes it the best choice for bedrooms and other low-traffic areas.
